January makes & February plans

January has been quite a productive month! I planned to make 5 items and I made 4! (Well 3 and a half, one is very nearly finished!) Not a bad start to the year!

I managed to make a Toaster sweater

The Sunny Dress

and I’ve very nearly finished my Heather dress. It just needs hemming and taking in at the hips.

I’m pleased as this is 3 items off my 2018 make nine! Go me!!

On to February’s plans….

I’m going to be realistic. Although I have an ever-growing stash of fabric and lots of ideas, I don’t think I’ll have as much time to sew. With this in mind, I’m only going to make a few plans.

I don’t fancy making February’s Sew My Style pattern of the Rumana coat from By Hand London but I may have a go at The Cocoon Coat from Sew Over It. It looks relatively easy for a coat. I’ve never made a coat before so this could be a potential!

I definitely want to make another sweatshirt. I’m deciding whether to make another Toaster Sweater or whether to try a different pattern. I have two sweatshirt fabrics, one of which is Atelier Brunnette, so I hope to make another sweatshirt soon!

I still desperately want to make the Blackwood cardigan by Helen’s Closet as well!

I’ll leave my list there for this month! Even though I’ve got so many ideas and patterns and fabrics, I don’t think I’ll get anything else made!
