Me Made May round up

I did it! I managed to wear at least 1 me made item per week. I think I averaged 2 a week! Next years target is to wear at least 1 me made item per day which means I need to get sewing! There were a few repeat wears but I only have about 5 self made items which I actually wear. I’m hoping by next year I’ll have a lot more to choose from!

I got a few wears out of my Shadi knit skirts, these are so easy to wear! And I wore my Molly dress twice! I’m now thinking of making another Molly dress, maybe in a white with black or blue stripes ponte (if I find any!). I was also pleased to wear my Orla top for the first time and I got loads of really lovely comments about it from colleagues, which was really nice!

I enjoyed wearing all my wearable me made clothes but it helped me see gaps in the wardrobe…. eg long sleeved tees, simple jumpers (for when the weather is too cold for a tshirt but too warm for a big jumper), cami/vest tops and casual dresses.

With this in mind, I have selected a few patterns that I want to buy and/or make and hope to make a few of each to fill gaps! Some of these I already have and have made, others I need to get…

  • More Molly tops and dresses
  • True Bias – Ogden cami
  • True Bias – Lodo dress
  • Megan Nielsen Rowan bodysuit
  • More Sew Over It Silk Camis
  • Tilly and the Button Agnes tee
  • Tilly and the Buttons Bettine
  • Astoria sweater – Seamwork
  • Sew House Seven – Toaster sweater

I really enjoyed taking part in Me Made May this year. A big thankyou to Zoe for organising! Can’t wait til next year!
