Another Named Shadi Knit Skirt

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… I love this pattern. Named’s Shadi knit skirt pattern is awesome! It’s so quick and simple to make! I timed myself making this skirt and I made it in just over an hour, not counting cutting out. If I was better at hand sewing it would have been about an hour. I even  managed to make a mistake and rectify it in that time!

There’s not really much to say about this pattern that I haven’t already said. I graded from a 12 at the waist to a 10 at the hips, as I have done previously. I used a narrower elastic for the waistband so it fed through the channel easily. I also made it on a regular sewing machine with a ballpoint needle and zig zag stitch as I did before.

The fabric this time was a black lace bonded scuba from Fabric Godmother (it appears to have sold out but is available in white). Scuba is perfect for this pattern! This skirt has a slightly more dressier feel to it than my previous one. The only thing with this scuba is that it isn’t as stretchy. I think this is due to the lace overlay. It still fits me, but is trickier to get on!

I love it though! Think I’m going to wear it to a Christmas party!
